The summer transfer window closes on August 30th, and Sheffield Wednesday could be one of many looking to strike some last-minute deals.

Sheffield Wednesday have already brought in 10th new names this summer, completing the signing of Ike Ugbo earlier this month to get into double figures.

Danny Rohl appears keen to add some more quality and depth to his first-team squad before the month is out, especially so after back-to-back defeats in the Championship.

Plymouth Argyle eyeing Sheffield Wednesday summer target Michael Baidoo

Earlier this summer, Sheffield Wednesday were linked with Michael Baidoo.

The IF Elfsborg midfielder has enjoyed an impressive 2024 in the Allsvenskan, scoring seven and assisting four more from midfield.

But it looks like Plymouth Argyle could win the race for Baidoo, with Wayne Rooney’s side along with Austrian outfit LASK having submit bids for the central midfielder.

Sheffield Wednesday set to keep Pierce Charles despite loan interest

Goalkeeper Pierce Charles has been tipped to leave Hillsborough on loan this summer.

Crawley enquired about signing Charles earlier in the summer, but it’s recently been revealed that Sheffield Wednesday plan to keep Charles.

The Northern Ireland U19s man could potentially seal a National league loan move later in the season.

Sheffield Wednesday miss out on Mark O’Mahony

Sheffield Wednesday were hopeful of signing Mark O’Mahony on loan from Brighton earlier this month.

Since, O’Mahony has passed a medical with Portsmouth and looks set to join the Owls’ Championship rivals on a season-long loan.

Sheffield Wednesday are working on other striker targets, it has been revealed.

Bailey Cadamarteri could join Lincoln City on loan

Another Sheffield Wednesday youngster tipped to head out on loan this month is Bailey Cadamarteri.

It’s been revealed previously that several EFL clubs are keen on Cadamarteri this summer, following his breakthrough with the Owls last season.

It was thought that Wrexham were the front-runners to sign the 19-year-old on loan this summer.

Since, it’s been revealed that Lincoln City are in talks over a loan deal for Cadamarteri before the August 30th deadline.

Sheffield Wednesday tipped to sign Shea Charles

Lastly, Sheffield Wednesday’s next summer signing looks set to be Shea Charles.

It’s been claimed that Charles is set to join on loan from Southampton for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

Saints boss Russell Martin has even said in a press conference that the defensive midfielder, who is Pierce Charles’ older brother, is set to join the Owls on loan.

However, a deal is yet to be confirmed, though it’s largely expected to go through imminently.
