Bailey Cadamarteri has been a talking point throughout the summer.
Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri is well-liked among fans, and well-regarded.
He’s the first player to go from the youth academy and into the first-team squad, and actually make an impact, in a long time.
Danny Rohl gave the 19-year-old his chance to impress last season, with Cadamarteri going on to score four goals in 23 Championship outings for the Owls.
He’s paved the way for names like Pierce Charles and Sean Fusire to move from the youth team into the first-team at Hillsborough.
Now though, it looks like Cadamarteri is in need of a loan move away from the Steel City, with game-time looking potentially limited for the striker this season.
Rohl is yet to name Cadamarteri in a matchday squad in the Championship this season.
It’s been reported that Cadamarteri has multiple suitors in the EFL. But it was later claimed that Wrexham were the front-runners to sign Cadamarteri on loan this summer.

Sheffield Wednesday and Lincoln City in talks over Bailey Cadamarteri loan deal
It always looked likely that League One is where Cadamarteri would end up this season.
Wrexham may have been a good move for the striker with the Welsh outfit challenging for a third-straight promotion.
But journalist Joe Crann has revealed that Wrexham’s League One rivals Lincoln City are hoping to sign Cadamarteri on loan.
The Imps have held an interest in Cadamarteri throughout the summer and ‘negotiations are underway’ for the Owls favourite to join Lincoln on a season-long loan deal.
Danny Rohl shouldn’t look at the numbers with Bailey Cadamarteri loan
Cadamarteri looks set to head out on loan, and many will be looking purely at how many goals he goes and scores.
But for Rohl, Cadamarteri’s season out on loan will be about much more than simply goals.
It’ll be about fine-tuning Cadamarteri’s game so that he can better adapt to Rohl’s style of play at Sheffield Wednesday.
Rohl wants a striker who can press. He wants his no.9 to work relentlessly and create spaces and opportunities for other players.
But if Cadamarteri can go to Lincoln, do all that and score some goals too, then it’ll prove to be a very promising loan spell for the teenager.
Sheffield Wednesday return to action at home to Leeds United on Friday night, with kick off at 8pm.
