Bailey Cadamarteri’s potential next club has now been revealed as Sheffield Wednesday weigh up loan exit.
Sheffield Wednesday have some final transfer matters to attend to in August, ahead of the summer transfer deadline on the 30th.
Danny Rohl looks set to add to his nine summer signings so far with Sheffield Wednesday having agreed a fee for Ike Ugbo.
But Championship rivals Sunderland have burst into the race to sign Ugbo from Troyes this summer, with the French club apparently unhappy with the structure of Wednesday’s proposed bid for the 25-year-old.
Elsewhere, Sheffield Wednesday appear light in midfield and could bolster in that position further, despite the additions of Svante Ingelsson and Nathaniel Chalobah.
But it’s a new striker that the Owls seem most keen on, and should a new no.9 arrive at Hillsborough then it could see youngster Bailey Cadamarteri sent out on loan.
Sheffield Wednesday are weighing up a loan exit for the 18-year-old, with several EFL clubs interested in Cadamarteri this summer.

Wrexham emerge as front-runners to sign Bailey Cadamarteri on loan from Sheffield Wednesday
Recently, it was revealed that the likes of Blackpool and Huddersfield Town were in the race to sign Cadamarteri on loan this summer.
It comes after the striker’s breakthrough in the Sheffield Wednesday first-team squad last season, with the Owls academy man going on to score four goals in 23 Championship outings.
Now though, journalist Darren Witcoop has revealed on X that League One hopefuls Wrexham are emerging as the ‘front-runners’ to sign Cadamarteri on loan this summer.
The Welsh outfit have earned back-to-back promotions in the last two seasons under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Why Wrexham could be a great fit for Sheffield Wednesday gem Bailey Cadamarteri
Wrexham are a controversial team among their rivals in the Football League.
But their rise cannot be purely attributed to their newfound funding and publicity; they’ve played some good football and manager Phil Parkinson has done a lot of good work on the pitch.
They’re a very attacking team too with Wrexham scoring 89 goals in League Two last season, so Cadamarteri should get plenty of scoring opportunities and likely game-time too, with Wrexham having been in need of a new no.9 all summer.
And he’d be linking up with some experienced pros too, like former Owls man Steven Fletcher, who Cadamarteri would surely learn a lot from.
All in all, Cadamarteri to Wrexham could be a great move for all involved.
