Sheffield Wednesday could add to their 10 summer signings before the transfer window closes.
The summer transfer window closes on August 30th, and for Sheffield Wednesday, it’ll mark the close of a very positive summer for the Owls.
10 new players have arrived at Hillsborough this summer, with Sheffield Wednesday signing Ike Ugbo last week to take their summer signings tally into double figures.
Ahead of deadline day, several new players have been linked with Danny Rohl’s side, including Brighton midfielder Malick Yalcouye and Fortuna Sittard midfielder Loreintz Rosier.
It seems clear that Rohl wants to sign a holding midfielder and that Sheffield Wednesday may be missing Will Vaulks, evident in the recent 4-0 defeat vs Sunderland.
But Rohl also appears keen to further bolster his attack, despite the additions of Ugbo, Jamal Lowe, Charlie McNeill, and Olaf Kobacki this summer.
Sheffield Wednesday were linked with Mark O’Mahony last week; the Brighton striker is tipped to head out loan before the summer deadline.
Now, there’s clarity on a potential Owls deal for the 19-year-old striker.

O’Mahony joined Brighton from Cork City in 2022 and last season made his Premier League debut for the Seagulls.
The striker featured three times in the English top flight, but now looks set to leave the south-coast club on loan.
The Star report that Sheffield Wednesday are hopeful of sealing a season-long loan switch for O’Mahony this month.
With Rohl keen on more signings a Sheffield Wednesday, he’s now optimistic about his side’s chances of sealing a loan deal for O’Mahony, with Brighton favouring Rohl’s style of play.
The Owls already have James Beadle on loan from Brighton.

Fans may suggest that Rohl should bolster his defence and midfield before deadline day, and that another striker is not needed.
And if O’Mahony arrives then it’ll only serve to push Bailey Cadamarteri down the pecking order, unless a loan move is lined up for him in the final days of the window, and it could restrict game time opportunities for Charlie McNeill too.
Unless O’Mahony arrives and goes to the bottom of the pecking order himself.
But that wouldn’t appease Brighton either, so there’s a lot about this potential signing that doesn’t seem to make total sense.
Sheffield Wednesday fans still have total faith in Rohl, though, and O’Mahony coming in could prove to be a masterstroke.
