The final two weeks of the summer transfer window could be very busy for Sheffield Wednesday.
Indeed, the whole summer transfer window so far has been busy far Sheffield Wednesday, who’ve signed 10 new players.
Last week, Sheffield Wednesday signed Ike Ugbo in a £3million deal, leaving Danny Rohl with 10 new signings this summer.
Next up, it looks as though we’ll see some focus shift towards player exits at Hillsborough.
Recent reports has suggested that Mallik Wilks is close to joining Rotherham United on loan, with Bailey Cadamarteri tipped to leave on loan this summer.
A couple more signings seems likely though, with Sheffield Wednesday having one or two positions that are still in need of some depth.
And in the last 48 hours, Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with three new players; central midfielders Malick Yalcouye and Loreintz Rosier, and Brighton striker Mark O’Mahony.
However, on the surface, it looks like only one of those reported deals seems likely to happen this summer.

Sheffield Wednesday linked with Malick Yalcouye, Loreintz Rosier, and Mark O’Mahony
Recent reports have revealed that Sheffield Wednesday want to sign Yalcouye on loan from Brighton.
It’s said that the Owls have already made contact and have been tracking the 18-year-old defensive midfielder throughout the summer.
Another defensive midfielder liked by Rohl is Rosier; reports claim that Sheffield Wednesday are weighing up a move for Rosier at Fortuna Sittard.
And Wednesday have another Brighton man on their radar, with the Owls keen to sign striker O’Mahony on loan from Brighton for the 2024/25 season.
But a deal for Yalcouye seems like the likeliest one of three to materialise.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Hull City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, with Charlie McNeill scoring both goals in a 2-1 win.
Many weren’t sure what to expect from McNeill. But he’s quickly shown his qualities as a poacher and he’s certainly given Rohl some food for thought, and perhaps reason to not bring in O’Mahony on loan; that and the recent signing of Ugbo too.
And with Dejphon Chansiri having spent decent money this summer, spending more on Rosier, who’s under contract for another year, seems unlikely, especially when the club can sign Yalcouye on loan.
Yalcouye is someone who Wednesday clearly like and have clearly done their homework on, and with very few loan players in the side right now, it may be safe to assume that the Owls will look to fill those in the final weeks of the window.
The final weeks of the window could see a lot of comings and goings in S6, capping what’s been a very positive summer so far for the club.
