Sheffield Wednesday are in store for a busy final few days of the summer transfer window.
On Tuesday, Sheffield Wednesday completed the signing of Shea Charles on loan from Southampton.
The former Manchester City youngster becomes the 11th signing at Hillsborough this summer, and it looks as though Danny Rohl is keen on a couple more before the end of the summer transfer window.
Deadline day is August 30th. Ahead of then, Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with a number of names, with Rohl keen on signing a new striker.
Brighton’s Mark O’Mahony was linked but he’s now expected to join Portsmouth on loan.
Elsewhere, there’s uncertainty over the future of Michael Smith; Rohl has suggested that Smith could leave the club before the summer transfer window shuts.
And that might prompt Rohl to put even more focus on a potential striker signing before the close of the summer window, especially with Bailey Cadamarteri expected to head out on loan.
Several EFL clubs are interested in signing Cadamarteri on loan this summer. Most recently, it was revealed that Lincoln City were in talks to sign the 19-year-old.

Bailey Cadamarteri set to undergo Lincoln City medical
Now, journalist Joe Crann has revealed that Cadamarteri is set to undergo a medical with League One Lincoln City.
Crann adds that there are still ‘some finer details to iron out’ between Lincoln and Sheffield Wednesday, but that a deal is expected to be complete.
Cadamarteri rose through the youth ranks in S6 and made his Championship debut last season, going on to score four goals in 23 league outings for the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday need to manage striker situation properly
Cadamarteri heading out on loan is great for the player.
He showed some very positive glimpses last season, but he remains very inexperienced, and a season playing regular League One football could really get him up to speed.
For Rohl though, losing Cadamarteri and potentially Smith as well before August 30th could leave him very light in attack.
Rohl must ensure that he has a striker coming in before he lets Smith leave, and that’s before we even consider other areas on the pitch that might need bolstering
Charles’ arrival certainly plugs a gap. But after Bambo Diaby’s move to Elche, there seems to be a lack of depth at centre-back, so a striker and a central defender could be on Rohl’s wishlist ahead of deadline day.
