Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri may quickly become the subject of January transfer talk, with his loan spell at Lincoln City not quite going to plan.
Bailey Cadamarteri was a man in demand in the summer transfer window, following his breakthrough with the Sheffield Wednesday first-team.
There was plenty of EFL interest in Cadamarteri during the summer with Wrexham among the teams interested.
But it was League One hopefuls Lincoln City who eventually snapped him on a season-long loan deal.
For the Imps, Cadamarteri has scored three in 15 League One outings. Cadamarteri says he’s enjoying his time with Lincoln City but game time remains quite limited for the 19-year-old.
Lincoln City boss Michael Skubala has started Cadamarteri just seven times in League One so far this season, with the Owls academy man having started one of the last four now.

Sheffield Wednesday should consider January recall for struggling Bailey Cadamarteri
Speaking to Sheffield Wednesday News earlier in the season, Imps expert Jamie Johnson spoke positively about Cadamarteri’s progression this season, his skillset and his chances of becoming Championship-ready for next season.
But it seems as though Skubala has slightly differing opinions on the striker, and with Cadamarteri clearly not the first-choice, it could be a good idea for the Owls to recall him in January.
Rohl may even want to take a look at Cadamarteri in first-team training given the poor form of Ike Ugbo this season. But chances are, Wednesday would find another loan move for Cadamarteri, likely lower down in League One.

Sheffield Wednesday fans make their feelings known about Bailey Cadamarteri
In all competitions for Lincoln, Cadamarteri has five goals, making him the club’s highest scorer this season.
During a more prolific spell earlier in the season, Sheffield Wednesday fans called for Cadamarteri to be recalled and used in the first-team.
Owls fans have high hopes for the young striker who showed glimpses of a very robust, clinical, poacher-like striker in the Championship this season.
But so far, Lincoln City fans have given mixed reviews of Cadamarteri who could be in line for another move in January, providing how much football he plays across the rest of December.
Sheffield Wednesday return to action against Preston at Hillsborough this weekend, whilst Lincoln City play at home to Charlton Athletic.
