Sheffield Wednesday have a player in the latest Championship Team of the Week, following the Owls’ 2-0 win at Hull City on Tuesday night.
Sheffield Wednesday picked up an impressive and much-needed three points against Yorkshire rivals Hull City on Tuesday night.
Josh Windass scored from the spot as Sheffield Wednesday set the British record for most games without a penalty, going 73 games without a spot kick before the Hull City clash, whilst Michael Smith grabbed the second.
Danny Rohl now finds his side sitting in 13th place of the Championship table after a run of three wins in four away games in the league, with Wednesday on the road again this weekend when they face Derby County at Pride Park.
It caps what’s been a steady November for the Owls, and starts what Rohl will hope is a fruitful December, leading into another crucial January transfer window.

Sheffield Wednesday ace Shea Charles named in Championship Team of the Week
Whilst the likes of Barry Bannan shone for Sheffield Wednesday against Hull City, and goalkeeper James Beadle arguably put in a Man of the Match performance with his saves, it’s Shea Charles who makes the Championship Team of the Week.
The Southampton loan man put in another hardened display in the midfield. And it comes after what was arguably his worst performance of the season for the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday fans were critical of Charles‘ performance against Cardiff City last weekend. But he was back to his best against Hull City; driving forward with the ball whilst providing steel at the back too.
The Star gave Charles an 8/10 rating against Hull City, adding that he had an ‘excellent outing’ against the Tigers.

Danny Rohl verdict on Shea Charles future amid Arsenal interest
Earlier in the season, it was claimed that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Charles amid his fine form at Sheffield Wednesday this season.
The Southampton loan man has certainly turned heads in his 14 Championship appearances so far this season, and there’s fears of a possible Saints recall too.
However, Southampton have no intentions of recalling Charles at this moment in time. Rohl though is still aggrieved that the 21-year-old’s time at Hillsborough is limited to one season.
Speaking amid Arsenal’s reported interest in the Northern Ireland skipper, Rohl said of Charles: “If he is linked with top teams that’s because he is a top player.
“I don’t know. I don’t know how many players at Sheffield Wednesday get linked with top clubs, but it’s just a pity he is not our player.”
Derby County against Sheffield Wednesday kicks off at 3pm on Sunday.
