Sheffield Wednesday have opened the voting for the club’s November Player of the Month award.
Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed a fairly steady November, picking up wins against Norwich City and Hull City and now finding themselves in 13th place of the Championship table.
Last time out, the Owls won away at Hull City in what was one of the team’s better performances of the season.
Josh Windass and Michael Smith were on the scoresheet, and the latter seems like many fans’ vote for the November Player of the Month award.

Sheffield Wednesday fans all agree on Michael Smith as November POTM voting opens
Smith has been labelled as ‘so consistent’ and ‘class’ by Sheffield Wednesday fans, more than one of whom have said that the club’s November POTM has ‘got to be’ Smith.
The 33-year-old now has four goals and two assists in 16 Championship appearances this season.
And it comes after a contested summer for the big striker. During the transfer window, Wrexham tried hard to sign Smith who was seemingly up for sale.
Another Owls fan posted on X: “Never thought I’d say it but has to be Michael Smith for me. He’s improved so much these last couple of months.”
Meanwhile, one Wednesday fan compared Smith to a ‘prime’ Gary Hooper, posting: “Smith his link up play is like prime Hooper. He’s been listening and learning in training.”

Michael Smith drops verdict on Sheffield Wednesday future
Speaking recently, Smith spoke about his Sheffield Wednesday future with his current contract set to expire at the end of this season.
The big striker said: “We’ve had a few conversations, but the games have come thick and fast recently so it’s been pushed to the side – which is fully understandable.
“Whether those conversations are picked up in the next week or so we’ll have to wait and see.”
Smith has certainly changed fans’ opinion about him in recent weeks. He’s scoring some important goals and putting in good overall performances, which is key amid the poor scoring form of Ike Ugbo.
A November POTM award for Smith would be well-deserved.
