Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has made a stunning comparison between one of his Owls players, and Bayern Munich hero Joshua Kimmich.
Danny Rohl has one of the more impressive CVs in the Championship, boasting no.2 roles with Bayern Munich, Southampton, and the German national team.
Sheffield Wednesday appointed Rohl in October last year and he’s since completely changed the fortunes of the previously struggling Owls.
Rohl has his side sitting in 13th place of the Championship table compared to last place at this stage last season.
In midweek, Sheffield Wednesday comfortably beat Hull City 2-0 away from home, setting themselves up for a definitely winnable game away at Derby County on Sunday.
On Friday, Rohl spoke to the press, and once again spoke about Southampton loan star Shea Charles, who himself spoke to the press on Friday.

Danny Rohl compares Shea Charles to Bayern Munich hero Joshua Kimmich
Charles has been hugely impressive for Sheffield Wednesday since arriving in the summer, having started every Championship game since he moved to Hillsborough.
There’s even reports claiming that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Charles ahead of January, highlighting just how good he’s been for the Owls.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Rohl highlighted Charles’ ability to play in every game without tiring, then making the comparison between Charles and Joshua Kimmich, who he worked with at Bayern and with the German national team.
Rohl said: “I had such a player with Joshua Kimmich. He was the same position and he could play every game… He was never tired.
“And at the moment I have the feeling that Shea Charles is the same.”
For Bayern, Kimmich has more than 400 appearances, eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League title too, whilst boasting 97 caps for the German national team.

Shea Charles opens up on his Sheffield Wednesday future
There’s uncertainty about the 21-year-old’s future beyond January, with Sheffield Wednesday fans fearful of a possible recall.
Right now, Southampton have no intentions to recall Charles from Sheffield Wednesday in January.
And Charles has now spoken about his Sheffield Wednesday future as well. He said on Friday: “As far as I know, I’m here for the season.”
He went on to add: “It’s started so well, so I don’t see any reason to not want to stay.”
Charles has certainly shown that he’s fit enough to hack the longevity of a Championship season and that’ll be vital for Rohl going into this congested winter period.
But a rest here and there may be needed. Last weekend against Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday fans blasted Charles’ performance, with the midfielder looking leggy after the international break.
