Danny Rohl spoke to the press on Friday ahead of Sheffield Wednesday vs Sunderland.
Sheffield Wednesday travel to Sunderland in the Championship for a 12pm kick off on Sunday.
For the Owls, it’s a return to the Stadium of Light where on the last day of last season they sealed their Championship status with a 2-0 win vs Sunderland.
Ahead of the game, Rohl has spoke fondly on Sunderland; the atmosphere at the Stadium of Light and the potential they have within their team.
Rohl also discussed a number of other things including Mallik Wilks’ loan move to Rotherham United, suggesting that the move was for the best and that more players could soon follow.
Rohl also discussed the possibility of more players arriving at Hillsborough this summer.
Sheffield Wednesday signed Ike Ugbo last week to complete their 10th transfer deal of the summer transfer window so far.
A handful of names are linked with the Owls right now, and Rohl has suggested that the club might look to do some more business before the August 30th deadline.

This week, Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with several new players, including Brighton duo Malick Yalcouye and Mark O’Mahony, and Fortuna Sittard midfielder Loreintz Rosier.
Speaking to the press on Friday afternoon, Rohl highlighted the market and how it’s quietened down somewhat, following the start of the 2024/25 season.
But the Owls boss hinted at more potential arrivals in S6, saying: “Look to the market, now I think the market is maybe a little bit quiet.
“But still two more weeks to go. I think at this point we will look what we can do.”

Given links to defensive midfielders Yalcouye and Rosier, it seems clear that Rohl wants to add another midfielder to his ranks.
It’s arguably the position in the first-team squad that’s most in need of another name, closely followed by centre-back.
It comes after the injury to Nathaniel Chalobah with the Owls summer signing currently carrying a small knock.
After such a busy summer, with money spent on several players, it could be that Rohl and his recruitment team turn their attention to the loan market, perhaps making a deal for Yalcouye more likely than most right now.
