Sheffield Wednesday manger Danny Rohl has now shared a fresh transfer update during his side’s pre-season training.
Sheffield Wednesday first-team players are current at St George’s Park undergoing some rigorous pre-season training, ahead of the start of the 2024/25 Championship campaign in August.
The Owls are widely expected to improve upon their 20th place finish in 2023/24 after making a strong start to the summer transfer window under Danny Rohl.
So far this summer, the German has made eight new signings at Hillsborough; Ben Hamer, Max Lowe, Yan Valery, Svante Ingelsson, Jamal Lowe, Olaf Kobacki, James Beadle, and Charlie McNeill.
There’s reports of Sheffield Wednesday being interested in further signings too, with last season’s loan hero Ike Ugbo a key summer target for Rohl.
Now, Rohl has shared an exciting transfer update from his side’s summer training camp at St George’s Park, as the Owls’ impressive summer transfer haul only appears to become more so.

Speaking to The Star at St George’s Park, Rohl was discussing the club’s attacking department and possible further additions following the recent arrival of McNeill.
Rohl highlighted the difficulties of finding attacking players in the transfer market but suggested that his side may have a new signing through the doors in S6 in the next couple of days.
Rohl said: “We are looking at some options in the market.
“This position is not the easiest one, but I think in the next – not hours – but two days, we will do something.
“It depends a little bit on the process, the contracts, the medical check.”

Despite having already signed the likes of Kobacki, Lowe, and McNeill, and having retained the services of Josh Windass, Rohl seems keen to add yet more firepower to his ranks.
His above comments suggest that Sheffield Wednesday are working hard to sign a new striker, and that in turn could suggest that a move for Ugbo is quite far advanced.
Bringing Ugbo back to Sheffield Wednesday would be a huge move for the Owls and for Rohl, with Rohl knowing that Ugbo can score goals in his set up and that he brings a degree of hard work to the side.
If Ugbo returns then Sheffield Wednesday will have a very formidable and diverse attacking department with each player bringing something a bit different to the table.
There’s also the likes of Lowe who can play out wide and Windass who can operate as a no.10, so Sheffield Wednesday’s front line certainly appears to be shaping up nicely ahead of the Championship opener vs Plymouth Argyle in August.
