Sheffield Wednesday will look to offload players surplus to requirements over the next few days.
Sheffield Wednesday have showcased what was a brilliant transfer window for Danny Rohl’s side as they strengthened in every single position.
All the key targets have been met this summer, from keeping ahold of current players such as the likes of Josh Windass and Barry Bannan, to clinching the return of Ike Ugbo and James Beadle following their brilliant loan spell in the 2023/24 season.
The Owls as a result looked a completely transformed side in the first couple of games of the season, however have been brought back to earth after Championship defeats to both Sunderland and Leeds United.
Whilst signings have been rightly prioritised this summer, there is still work to be done in terms of letting go of players, and Rohl has made it clear that there will be departures this summer before the end of the transfer window, with three players sticking out when it comes to likely departures.

Bailey Cadamarteri
The Sheffield Wednesday striker burst onto the scene last season after he was given an opportunity to lead the line for Rohl’s side.
Whilst he was able to certainly show promising signs on the pitch, Bailey Cadamarteri has now dropped out of favour with the German boss, and he now looks likely to secure a League One move on loan.
With the signings of Ugbo and Jamal Lowe, Cadamarteri is quite far down the pecking order, and any guarantee of game time for his development will only come from a drop down the leagues.

Pol Valentin
Pol Valentin is a player who will likely be moved on in a permanent deal in the coming days, as a result of Rohl seemingly not having him in his plans.
A right-wing-back signing was prioritised this summer, and the vacancy was filled by a former Premier League talent in Yan Valery, someone who will likely become a guaranteed starter in that position.
It will be in the best interests of all parties involved to secure a permanent move for Valentin, and the lack of guarantees over his game time will only make that end result more likely.

Marvin Johnson
The third player who will likely be moved on this season is wing-back Marvin Johnson, who just like the start of the 2023/24 campaign, has had his game time cut.
Johnson has been in-and-around the squad, however is yet to get a league start, with him being handed just 36 minutes of action across three league substitute appearances.
At the age-of-33, it will be unlikely for Rohl to change his tune and start playing Johnson over new signing Max Lowe, unless injuries occur, and a permanent move for the wing-back will certainly be in the midst of being considered at this moment.
