Sheffield Wednesday remain on three points after suffering successive defeats in the Championship.
The Owls were hoping to bounce back after their 4-0 thrashing by Sunderland, but faced the difficult task of hosting Leeds United on Friday evening.
The Whites were wounded after a difficult start to the season, while they had also lost their prized assets.
However, they still have huge talent among their ranks and were able to claim a 2-0 win at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday have now conceded six goals and scored none in their last two outings.

Bullen sees the ‘positive side’ of Leeds United defeat
They have been told there is still a ‘positive’ to take from their defeat to Leeds though, with Lee Bullen praising the team as they ‘kept going’.
Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Bullen said: “It was a pretty even game in the second half. The positive side was that Wednesday kept going. They huffed and puffed but lost to the better team.
“They started the game well, then conceded the goal and Leeds dominated for about 30 minutes.
“We said we’d see where Wednesday are compared to Leeds last season. They’ve still got a bit to go.”

Leeds picked up almost 70% of the possession in Yorkshire, but that didn’t stop Wednesday from having eight shots, while they also had 14 touches in the box to their 19.
The Whites have lost a lot of key players but they looked unplayable at times on Friday, with their opening goal mostly just great passing rather than a problem with the Owls’ performance.
Their two goalscorers cost around £50m – a chunk more than what Wednesday’s whole squad is worth.
They were simply outplayed by the better team on home soil, but it shouldn’t be a cause for concern for Danny Rohl.
The Owls have been beaten by two teams that will challenge for promotion, but games against Millwall and QPR should really give the German coach a feel for where his team actually are.
The transfer window will have also slammed shut by the time they return to Championship action again, meaning Rohl will have made all the signings he needs to bolster his squad.
If everyone is fit then he will surely be very confident that his team can finally kickstart their campaign in London next week.
