Sheffield Wednesday play Derby County at Pride Park on Sunday afternoon, in a 3pm kick off on Sky Sports.

Sheffield Wednesday make the trip to Derby County on Sunday to face mid-table rivals Derby County in the Championship.

As things stand, the Owls sit in 13th place of the Championship table and the Rams in 15th, after Derby County lost against Swansea City in midweek.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday beat Hull City 2-0 in a convincing win at the MKM Stadium, with the goals coming from Josh Windass and Michael Smith.

Danny Rohl’s side have won three of their last four away games in the league and currently sit in 9th place of the away form table.

Paul Warne’s Derby meanwhile are in 10th place of the home form table, making for an exciting match up on Sunday.

Sheffield Wednesday’s last win against Derby County at Pride Park came way back in the 2005/06 Championship season.

Sheffield Wednesday team and injury news vs Derby County

The Owls have a few injury issues going into Sunday, with Rohl revealing on Friday that Windass and Ike Ugbo are 50/50 to feature against Derby.

Both players were brought off at half-time at Hull City with Windass nursing a hamstring injury.

Rohl also revealed that Olaf Kobacki could return for Sheffield Wednesday in December, whilst Akin Famewo remains sidelined for a while longer.

Di’Shon Bernard is suspended for the game against Derby County after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season at Hull, resulting in a one-game suspension.

Sheffield Wednesday predicted lineup vs Derby County, three changes made

Rohl won’t want to change an XI that did so well against Hull City in midweek, but injuries and suspensions means he’ll have to.

Bernard is definitely not going to feature. That surely means Dominic Iorfa comes into the XI and Michael Ihiekwe returns to the bench after several weeks sidelined.

Expect Rohl to be cautious with both Windass and Ugbo, who could be left out of the matchday squad entirely with games coming thick and fast in the next few weeks.

Michael Smith surely starts the game, likely as the lone striker. Who replaces Windass in the right attacking midfield role is more unclear: Rohl could choose any of Callum Paterson, Jamal Lowe, or Anthony Musaba.

Musaba was the one who came on for Windass at half-time though. He grabbed an assist for Smith and may have earned a starting spot at Pride Park.
