One Sheffield Wednesday player caught the eye of former Owls man Lee Bullen after the win at Hull City on Tuesday night.
Sheffield Wednesday claimed a routine 2-0 win at Hull City on Tuesday night, moving up into the top half of the Championship table in the process.
Danny Rohl’s side now sit in 12th and just five points outside the top six after claiming what was their third away win in their last four in the Championship.
Josh Windass scored from the spot for the Owls, as Sheffield Wednesday finally end their 73-game run without a penalty, with Michael Smith sealing the win late on with his fourth Championship goal of the season.
Several names stood out for the Owls including Barry Bannan in the midfield, whilst Pol Valentin also shone on his return to the starting XI.
But there’s a lot of praise online for goalkeeper James Beadle who made a string of impressive saves on the night.

Lee Bullen’s praise for James Beadle after Sheffield Wednesday win at Hull City
Beadle was only forced into making three saves in the game against Hull City. But all three were impressive stops, especially the two that came in the first half.
At 0-0, it was all Wednesday. But the Tigers should’ve scored through former Sheffield United man Regan Slater who was denied at point blank range by Beadle.
Then at 1-0 up, Beadle pulled out another unbelievable save to keep the Owls in the game, and lay the foundations for the win, as Lee Bullen says.
Speaking on co-commentary with BBC Radio Sheffield’s Adam Oxley, Bullen said of Beadle after the game: “The two saves in the first half were absolutely world class. Really laid the foundations of what is a very good three points.”
Bullen later added: “Hull City were up against a goalkeeper who was in fine form.”

James Beadle needs consistency after admitting poor start with Sheffield Wednesday
Beadle has been somewhat hit and miss this season, albeit being more of a ‘hit’ than a ‘miss.
During the Steel City derby defeat before the November international break, Sheffield Wednesday fans were critical of Beadle who sometimes appears to go down too early.
But he was at his best against Hull City. And it comes just a few weeks after the 20-year-old Brighton loan man gave an honest assessment of his season to date.
Speaking before the Portsmouth game, Beadle admitted he’d been poor for Sheffield Wednesday in the opening weeks of the season.
He said: “It probably hasn’t been my best start to the season. But I back myself everyday in training, I back my coaches, and it’s nice to contribute today.”
After proving his worth against Hull, Beadle now needs to find some consistency to his performances.
