One Sheffield Wednesday gem may have earned one unwanted role in the side despite his performance vs West Brom.
Sheffield Wednesday managed an incredibly impressive win at home against Championship high-flyers West Brom, who Danny Rohl’s side saw off in a 3-2 victory.
Rohl will be impressed with several players in his side after such an outstanding display put on by his side, with Barry Bannan unsurprisingly making a significant difference in the centre-of-the-park.
Sheffield Wednesday’s wing-backs also played a pivotal role in securing the first victory in six Championship games, with Yan Valery massively impressing o the right-flank, whilst Marvin Johnson put in a performance that has surely tied down his spot as Rohl’s starting left wing-back.
As for the goalscorers, Josh Windass bagged a necessary goal as he skillfully looped it ober the West Brom shot-stopper with a brilliantly executed header, whilst Anthony Musaba also was in the right place at the right time to hit home the winner at Hillsborough.
Despite the goals from both players playing a key part, one of them may have just earned one role in Rohl’s set-up, something that they certainly wouldn’t have wanted.

Anthony Musaba will likely be continued to be utilised from off the bench
The first few weeks of the season saw Musaba named in the starting lineup for Rohl’s side, and whilst he did look to be showing plenty of positives with his direct play and skillful dribbling, he clearly showed to have a lack of confidence in front of goal.
He wasn’t making a significant impact early on on the left-flank which led to him being replaced by new signing Olaf Kobacki.
After Musaba made an impact off the bench for Sheffield Wednesday, Rohl could consider that his best place in the side is to deliver that energy late on and often be utilised as an impact substitution, something that the Dutch winger will likely not be too fond of.

Anthony Musaba bench spot shows Sheffield Wednesday squad depth
There is no doubt that the Owls have plenty of options in wide areas following an incredibly busy summer transfer window, and that is characterised by Musaba’s difficulty of retaining his spot in the starting line up for Sheffield Wednesday.
Whilst it was a brilliant showing from off the bench, it could be argued that Kobacki deserves more time to show the skills that he displayed in the Polish second division prior to his move to S6.
If Kobacki was to be dropped, there is also the option of Djeidi Gassama, whilst Windass can also switch wings.
At this point, it looks likely that Musaba will once again retain his spot on the bench, and with the way that he plays when entering the fray, it makes sense that he is utilised from off the bench for Rohl’s side.
