Josh Windass was on the score-sheet as Sheffield Wednesday beat West Brom 3-2 in the Championship on Saturday.
Few would’ve backed Sheffield Wednesday to even take a point against West Brom ahead of their match at Hillsborough on Saturday.
The Baggies went into this one in 1st place of the Championship table after an unbeaten start, whereas the Owls started the day in 21st place of the table.
Danny Rohl’s side though would eventually win 3-2; they were 2-0 up at half-time before the Baggies came back on level terms late on, though Antony Musaba would score a dramatic winner.
Josh Windass scored with a leaping header in the first half. Fans have been critical of Windass this season and he was arguably lucky to keep his starting spot for the game v West Brom, who wanted to sign Windass during the summer.
But he put in a solid shift as he scored his second goal of the season.

When the going is tough, Windass if often someone who comes under the firing line.
During the 4-0 defeat v Sunderland earlier in the season, fans were particularly harsh on Windass after he was at fault for more than one of the goals on the day.
In recent weeks, Windass’ shooting ability has been criticised, with the 30-year-old having missed some clear-cut chances during this tough run of form.
His goal against West Brom though will hopefully give him some confidence to go on a scoring run of form.

Josh Windass may need to play no.9 role for Danny Rohl
In recent weeks, Windass has been playing as one of the two behind Ike Ugbo or Michael Smith in the no.9 position.
But with Ugbo struggling for form right now, Rohl might turn to Windass to lead the line, and bring someone like Anthony Musaba or even Svante Ingelsson into the fold.
Windass has proven many times under Rohl that he can be clinical in the final third. But his issue seems to be confidence, and finding a run of form.
He sticks at it though and never shies away when the going gets tough, and he showed against West Brom that he can score a variety of goals as a striker.
Sheffield Wednesday are next in action against Bristol City in what is a midweek clash on Wednesday night.
