Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw vs QPR on Saturday.
Sheffield Wednesday returned to action in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, and in the first 45 vs QPR, they looked bright.
Marvin Johnson impressed on his return to the side and gave the Owls a real outlet on the left hand side.
Danny Rohl changed to a back-five formation and Wednesday looked all the better for it.
After the break, the game became cagey. But Barry Bannan scored what looked like a late winner at Hillsborough.
Once again though, Sheffield Wednesday were undone by a set-piece; set-pieces is a real issue for Wednesday and it has been for some time now.
QPR scored with virtually the last kick of the game and despite ending their losing streak in the Championship, it feels like points dropped.
Still, Rohl may well be ruing one other, ‘woeful’ aspect of his side’s performance.

Sheffield Wednesday pay price for ‘woeful’ finishing vs QPR
Sheffield Wednesday had more than their share of chances during the game vs QPR.
In both halves, Wednesday could’ve put the game to bed. But they squandered their chances and paid the price.
The first half possibly saw more chances fall Wednesday’s way, with Ike Ugbo and Josh Windass both having good sights at goal.
Yorkshire Post journalist Stuart Rayner described Windass’ finishing as ‘woeful’ after the first half.
For Rohl, who seems to have a lot of specific Wednesday issues to fix, his attentions might turn to this latest one.

One thing can cure Sheffield Wednesday misfire
It’s clear right now that Sheffield Wednesday are a team lacking in confidence.
But they showed in the first half v QPR that they remain a team who can play good football, and that they’re a team who can beat good opposition.
The game vs QPR really should’ve been a win. And it should’ve been a comfortable win too.
Strikers are misfiring right now but they’re lacking confidence, as is the team, and when that confidence comes back, the goals and wins should follow.
Windass in particular seems to be low on confidence after a string of poor performances before the QPR game.
He had a decent game vs the West Londoners but he’ll no doubt rue his missed chances on the day.
So too will Ugbo, who’s proved to himself that he can score in the Championship.
