Sheffield Wednesday return to Championship action vs Leeds United on Friday night.
Sheffield Wednesday are live on Sky Sports once again this week, as the Owls host Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in the Championship.
For Danny Rohl, it’s a chance to make amends following the 4-0 defeat vs Sunderland last time out.
The Owls have now won one game in the 2024/25 Championship season 4-0, and lost one 4-0.
The Sunderland defeat was a huge reality check for Wednesday following what was a bright start to the campaign.
Leeds United under Daniel Farke have had a tame start to the new season, drawing their opening game of the season 3-3 vs Portsmouth at Elland Road, then losing 3-0 vs Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup, before a goalless draw at West Brom last weekend.
Last season, Sheffield Wednesday drew 0-0 with Leeds United at Elland Road under Xisco Munoz, losing the reverse 2-0 at Hillsborough under Rohl in March.
Ahead of the game on Friday, Sheffield Wednesday have received a welcome boost from the Leeds United camp.

Leeds United have some very impressive individuals in their ranks.
But the Whites have now sold Georginio Rutter to Brighton head of their clash in South Yorkshire.
Brighton have completed a club-record £40million signing of the Frenchman who shone in the Championship last time round.
Rutter, 22, scored seven and assisted 16 more in 48 Championship fixtures, having played once and assisted one in the Championship this season.
For Sheffield Wednesday; whilst Rutter leaving certainly doesn’t do their chances of a strong performance any harm, they still need to be wary of other individuals.

The Leeds United players that Sheffield Wednesday need to be wary of
Farke has a lot of pace in his ranks, especially on the flanks in names like Dan James on the right, and Wilfried Gnonto on the left.
So for the Owls’ full-backs, who were particularly exposed in the defeat vs Sunderland, containing those two will be key.
With Rutter gone, expect Dutchman Joel Piroe to start in the no.10 position.
He’s a clinical goal-scorer on his day and so the Wednesday holding players, likely Barry Bannan and Svante Ingelsson, will need to be careful of not giving Piroe too much space around the edge of the box.
For Sheffield Wednesday, this next game already feels like a big one in terms of foreseeing how this season ill pan out.
