Sheffield Wednesday return to league action this weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday get back underway in the Championship this weekend, with a clash vs QPR at Hillsborough.
The Owls currently sit in 20th place of the Championship table after a run of three-straight defeats following their opening day win vs Plymouth Argyle.
That win seems like an age ago for Danny Rohl’s side who’ve come under increasing scrutiny from Sheffield Wednesday fans, following three poor performances in the Championship.
Rohl though has had two weeks to work with his players on the training ground.
The international break comes at a good time for the Owls, who many tipped for a strong start to the season after their impressive summer transfer window.
In total, 11 new players arrived in S6. Many fans believe that there’s still some gaps in the side that need plugging, and that could be done with the possible signing of some free agents.
Rohl is yet to rule out the possibility of free agent signings at Sheffield Wednesday, with some good names being available for a free transfer.

Francis Jeffers urges Sheffield Wednesday to target free agent signings
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Francis Jeffers has had his say on the Owls’ fortunes right now.
He’s backed the Owls to get out of this current rut, whilst also commenting on the possibility of the club signing free agents.
But Jeffers says that any potential free agent signings made at Sheffield Wednesday must be aligned with Rohl’s style of play.
Jeffers told Football League World: “If they can add to the squad then this does always help, but they need to fit into the manager’s style.”
Why Danny Rohl is unlikely to look at free agent signings at Sheffield Wednesday
During the summer, Rohl often spoke about wanting a first-team who were quickly put together and had the majority of the summer to train together.
So it seems unlikely that Rohl will now bring a player in and expect him to play a key role in the side, especially so given the fact that said player will need time to get up to speed.
A free agent signing at Sheffield Wednesday would not become a key player for Rohl for the above reason, and so a free agent signing altogether seems unlikely.
Rohl will want to work with the players he’s got and get a tune out of them.
He’s still got the backing of fans and surely the backing of the owner, but results certainly need to improve soon.
