Sheffield Wednesday have been without Dominic Iorfa for the last few weeks.
Sheffield Wednesday don’t have too many injuries right now, perhaps thanks in part to their larger first-team squad.
Defender Dominic Iorfa has missed the last four matches with a muscle injury, though.
Going into this 2024/25 season, Iorfa looked like the main centre-back options in a back-four, with the 29-year-old starting the games v Plymouth Argyle, Sunderland, and Leeds United.
But the Englishman hasn’t featured since that 2-0 defeat vs Leeds United, and going into the 1-1 draw vs QPR last weekend, Danny Rohl hinted at an injury crisis at centre-back.
Rohl put question marks over Iorfa, as well as Di’Shon Bernard and Michael Ihiekwe.
Ihiekwe started vs QPR and then Bernard scored his first Sheffield Wednesday goal vs Blackpool in midweek, so both look available for this weekend’s game at Kenilworth Road.
On Thursday afternoon, Rohl spoke to the press and gave an injury update on his side.

Domonic Iorfa injury latest ahead of Luton Town v Sheffield Wednesday
Rohl has issued a near clean bill of health for his side ahead of the trip to Luton Town.
Speaking to the press, Rohl gave an update on Iorfa as well as Nathaniel Chalobah; the former Chelsea man has featured just once for the Owls so far, having missed the last three with a muscle injury.
Rohl said on the injury front: “It looks really good. Just Nath, and Dominic made a good step this week. Let’s see how close he is to the game.”
Iorfa is now in his sixth full season at Hillsborough and could add to his 168 total appearances for Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

What defence will Danny Rohl select for Luton Town v Sheffield Wednesday
Even with Iorfa fit and available, centre-back options remain light in S6, and it’s an area that many fans feel should’ve been addressed during the summer transfer window.
When everyone is fit, it looks like Iorfa and Bernard is Rohl’s favoured pairing.
Though having played a back-five v QPR, and having looked much better for it, we could see a back-five once more.
Expect Bernard to start with Ihiekwe and then one of Liam Palmer or Akin Famewo, depending on who Rohl wants in the wing-back positions.
Luton Town v Sheffield Wednesday kicks off at 3pm on Saturday, in what is a game between the 19th placed and 20th placed teams in the Championship table.
