Sheffield Wednesday’s transfer business has quietened down this week.
The Owls only made the one signing this week, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours from bubbling over.
It has been reported that Sheffield Wednesday are now considering a free transfer swoop for Nathaniel Chalobah, who has just been released by West Brom.
Wednesday are also prioritising bolstering their attack, having already signed Jamal Lowe and Olaf Kobacki.
While they are eager to bring in a new striker, recent reports had suggested they were very close to signing another winger.

The latest on Sheffield Wednesday’s ‘pursuit’ of Scott Wright
It was reported last week that the Yorkshire club were interested in signing Scott Wright from Rangers, before it was claimed at the weekend that he could join them ‘in the next 48 hours’.
The ‘bright spark‘ was then spotted travelling to the Netherlands for Rangers’ pre-season training camp, leaving fans a bit confused.
The Star have now clarified the situation around Wright and has played down talk of a move to Hillsborough.
The report states that Wednesday ‘aren’t believed to have anything in the works regarding the winger’.
Are the Owls missing out?
Danny Rohl currently has Josh Windass, Djeidi Gassama, Anthony Musaba, Callum Paterson, Marvin Johnson, Kobacki and Lowe that can all play out wide.
To inject more cash into the wide positions shouldn’t be a focus of Rohl’s, with a No.9 definitely more important at this point.
The Owls are going to have to spend big if they are to sign a proven Championship goalscorer and saving cash elsewhere could be important.
With Ike Ugbo still high on their shortlist, he is likely to cost them seven-figures and increasing interest in his signature will only bump up the price.
If Wednesday want that important forward then missing out on Wright certainly doesn’t seem like a big deal – especially given his underwhelming record.
