Sheffield Wednesday have edged closer to the signing of a winger.
Danny Rohl has had a relentless transfer window so far with Sheffield Wednesday, getting seven new players through the doors, despite having spent the earlier month in Germany covering Euro 2024 with ITV.

Big names have arrived at S6, including the likes of Yan Valery, who will be linking up with the German boss once again after they worked together at Premier League outfit Southampton, where Rohl was assistant manager.
A guarantee of goals was also prioritised from wide players, with Rohl making a shrewd move for Polish winger Olaf Kobacki, who scored 15 goals last season in the Polish second tier.
There are further wingers that Sheffield Wednesday are currently monitoring, one of which is reportedly ‘close to completion’.

Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly set to sign Rangers winger Scott Wright, with a deal reportedly ‘close to completion’, according to The Fourth Official.
The deal reportedly is expected to be finalised ‘over the next 48 hours’, making it Rohl’s 8th signing of the summer.
The 26-year-old featured 23 times for Rangers in the 2023/24 Scottish Premiership season, finding the net twice in a campaign where he was predominantly utilised from off the bench.
The former Scottish youth player has European football experience to his name, notably in the Champions League with Rangers, getting game time against European giants Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax.
Should Sheffield Wednesday be prioritising wingers
The signing of Wright from Rangers would mean that Sheffield Wednesday will have the likes of new signings Kobacki and Jamal Lowe, alongside Djeidi Gassama and Anthony Musaba.
Former Hull City and Barnsley winger Mallik Wilks is also still on the books, however is likely to be surplus to requirements after very limited game time last season.
That gives Rohl several options out wide ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season, however both striker and centre-midfielder options are still on the lighter side.
Centre forwards are still being considered, including the likes of former Sheffield Wednesday loanee Ike Ugbo who scored seven at Hillsborough last season, but there still remains a question over who will fill out the threadbare midfield.
Rohl and his team still have plenty of time to make their next move in the window. They will certainly have plans in furthering recruitment in midfield to join fellow incoming Svante Ingelsson, however wide options are starting to look bloated.
