Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has played down an emerging Owls transfer rumour.
Sheffield Wednesday appear to be scouring the free agent market after the January transfer window slammed shut.
The Owls were left wanting a striker after failing to sign Duncan McGuire on deadline day, and then injury to Kristian Pedersen has Rohl in need of a new left-back, with free agent former Dortmund man Nico Schulz currently training with Sheffield Wednesday.
Ravel Morrison has also been linked with Sheffield Wednesday; the former Manchester United man is currently without a club after leaving D.C. United at the end of the 2023 season.

Speaking to The Star ahead of the weekend clash vs Bristol City, Rohl was quizzed on Sheffield Wednesday’s links to Morrison.
Rohl said:
“At the moment, he is not a player on our list. Let’s have a look, maybe in the next days there is some other player but my focus is 100 per cent on the players that are here.”
Morrison, now 31, has had a stop-start career over the past 10 years or so.
He’s been in and out of the Football League with the likes of West Ham, Birmingham City, QPR, Cardiff City, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, and Derby County, having been abroad too with Lazio, Ostersund, and most recently D.C. United.
Sheffield Wednesday already have their own Morrison
The Morrison link was a strange one at first, mostly because Sheffield Wednesday have a similar kind of player in Ian Poveda.
The man on loan from Leeds United has impressed since joining; he too is a player in that no.10 position who can beat players on the ball, score and create, and bringing in Morrison might have created some needless competition for the Colombian international.
Still, having more quality in the side is never a bad thing. Sheffield Wednesday though likely don’t have a huge amount of room in the wage budget for a potential free agent signing, and it looks like Rohl might be saving it for the right person at the right time.
That could well be a shock move for Schulz, though that seems unlikely as things stand.
And with just 13 games of the season left, it would have to be a very good player signing on a free for the club to entertain it; not only that but the player coming in would likely have very little match practise, so how much he’d realistically feature remains to be seen.
But Morrison will continue on his search for a new club as Sheffield Wednesday continue to fight for survival, with Bristol City visiting Hillsborough tomorrow.
