Sheffield Wednesday host QPR in the Championship on Saturday, with the Owls looking to end a run of three-straight defeats.
Sheffield Wednesday play against QPR this weekend, in a battle between two sides who narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship last season.
Both teams were in the relegation zone around Christmas. But both would eventually climb out of the bottom three after making managerial changes.
But Sheffield Wednesday under Danny Rohl in this 2024/25 season are struggling; the Owls lost 3-0 vs Millwall last time out, now sitting in 20th place of the Championship table after three-straight defeats.
QPR meanwhile are in 12th, having signed Sheffield Wednesday summer target Karamoko Dembele during the summer transfer window.

Keiren Westwood
Keiren Westwood made 199 total appearances for Sheffield Wednesday between 2014 and 2020, and then went on to play once for QPR in 2021.
The R’s were having a goalkeeper crisis at the time and Westwood was a free agent, so he came in and helped the West Londoners during their time of need.
Westwood signed for Crewe Alexandra last season but is now without a club.
Massimo Luongo
Australian central midfielder Massimo Luongo racked up 152 appearances for QPR and then 72 during a three-year spell at Hillsborough, after joining from QPR in 2019.
With both clubs, Luongo was injury prone, but both sets of fans saw the quality that the now 31-year-old possessed.
He’s since regained his fitness and last season helped Ipswich Town earn promotion from the Premier League.

Kieran Lee
Another midfielder, Kieran Lee, has also played for both QPR and Wednesday.
The 216-app former Sheffield Wednesday favourite spent time on loan at QPR from Manchester United in 2008.
Now seemingly retired at age 36, following a two-year spell with Bolton Wanderers, Lee was recently named in Barry Bannan’s all-time Sheffield Wednesday XI.
Leon Clarke
Journeyman striker Leon Clarke played for QPR on two separate occasions; in 2006 and again during the 2010/11 season, and for Wednesday between 2007 and 2010.
Clarke failed to score in 16 total appearances for the R’s but scored 23 in 105 games for the Owls, later going on to be prolific for Sheffield United.
Clarke played for Mickleover last season, but is now seemingly retired.
Andy Sinton
A blast from the past; Andy Sinton played for QPR in 1992 and then for the Owls between 1993 and 1995.
He was well-liked among both sets of fans and is currently working as a club ambassador for QPR, having worked with the club for nine years now.
