So far this season, Sheffield Wednesday have been disappointing.
After the opening five games of the 2024/25 season, Sheffield Wednesday are slumped in 20th place of the Championship table.
It comes after a 1-1 draw vs QPR last weekend in a game that Wednesday really should’ve won.
At Hillsborough, the Owls were on top for the most part, scoring a late goal through Barry Bannan, only to then concede a controversial goal.
It comes after a busy summer in S6 where 11 new players arrived, bolstering Danny Rohl’s side seemingly for the better.
Recent results however would suggest otherwise.
Fans have been disappointed with performances so far with Rohl coming under criticism for some of his selection and tactical decisions.
Several players have come under criticism but have kept their places, including the likes of Bannan and Josh Windass, whereas the likes Svante Ingelsson can’t get into the starting XI anymore.
Charlie McNeill is another who’s been exiled from the Championship so far this season.

Charlie McNeill situation at Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday signed McNeill on a free transfer during the summer.
The 21-year-old opted to leave Manchester United after impressing for the youth academy, but failing to get into the first-team picture.
He has interest from the Premier League and the Championship, as well as from Europe, but chose to move to Wednesday.
McNeill scored twice in the Carabao Cup win vs Hull City last month, then starting in the 5-1 win vs Grimsby Town but coming off at half-time.
The striker is yet to make his league debut for Sheffield Wednesday.

Charlie McNeill surely questioning Danny Rohl decisions at Sheffield Wednesday
Wednesday certainly haven’t been thrilling in attack this season; since their opening day win vs Plymouth, they’ve scored just once.
Summer signing Ike Ugbo is yet to score in the Championship either, with Jamal Lowe receiving mixed reviews too.
Yet McNeill can’t even get in the matchday squad, despite his well-taken goals and all-round performance vs Hull City.
Rohl seems to be getting stuck in his ways; be that with regards to formation or personnel, it looks like Rohl needs to mix it up and give some lesser-seen players a run out.
McNeill could bring life into a Wednesday attack that’s currently misfiring, and he’s got the track record at youth level to suggest that he can make the step up, given the chance.
Expect McNeill to be given a run out vs Blackpool in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
