Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl might well be looking at possible free agent signings right now.
Sheffield Wednesday took a lot of newfound hope and expectation into this 2024/25 season. But after four league games, that hope has been quashed.
The Owls sit in 20th place of the Championship table and have lost their last three league fixtures, losing 3-0 vs Millwall last time out.
Shea Charles has joined on loan and the Southampton man impressed on his debut, and may help with the current defensive issues at Wednesday.
But Rohl is also facing issues with his side’s attacking play right now, with Anthony Musaba being a key talking point among fans.
Musaba currently leads the Championship for dribbles completed this season, but he desperately lacks end product with just one assist to his name, despite all of his forward movement.
Rohl may well have an eye on potential attacking additions from the free agent market, and one of his reported summer targets remains a free agent.

Ovie Ejaria remains a free agent after Sheffield Wednesday links
Former Liverpool and Rangers wide man Ovie Ejaria was linked with a move to Sheffield Wednesday over the summer.
The 26-year-old was even training with the Owls first-team squad at one point, following his release by League One Reading midway through last season.
And Ejaria might be able to help out where Musaba is currently struggling.
Although not hugely impressive on the stats front, Ejaria does have 10 goals to his name in the Championship, and 13 assists from 135 games, paying in a Reading side that struggled most seasons during his stay.
Like many others did last season, Rohl could be the man to get a tune out of Ejaria, and Ejaria could help get Wednesday back on track this season.

There’s just one issue with Ovie Ejaria
It’s surprising to see Ejaria still without a club.
He’s a proven Championship player and an attacking player who can score and create goals, which is a commodity in today’s game.
For Wednesday, Ejaria could add that end product that they’re lacking within their current options.
But having been a free agent not only for the summer, but for all of 2024 so far, Ejaria would need added time to get back up to speed.
Rohl already knows Ejaria’s abilities and he may well have passed on the opportunity to sign him, fancying Musaba and Djeidi Gassama among others instead.
But this season’s poor start and lack of end product may well force Rohl to change his mind on someone like Ejaria.
A short-term contract could be ideal for both parties, and it could prove to be a shrewd move for the Owls.
