One Sheffield Wednesday player arguably put in his best performance of the season against Bristol City.
Sheffield Wednesday claimed a hard-fought point on the road on Wednesday night, drawing 0-0 with Bristol City.
Danny Rohl’s side pick up their first away point of the season and claim their first clean sheet since their opening day 4-0 win against Plymouth Argyle.
It wasn’t easy, though. Bristol City grew into the game and may have felt they deserved the win, with the Owls lacking in attack.
Sheffield Wednesday fans were critical of Ike Ugbo who endured another tough outing since his return to the club during the summer.
Meanwhile, Dom Howson hailed James Beadle’s performance, with the England youth star pulling off a number of saves to keep Wednesday in the game.
And Beadle wad definitely helped out by what was a solid performance from his defenders, particularly Di’Shon Bernard.

Di’Shon Bernard shines for Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City
Bernard signed a new Sheffield Wednesday contract in the summer after being a free agent for several weeks.
The Jamaican international has had a pretty average season so far. But he put in a very good performance against Bristol City; arguably his best performance of the season so far.
Bernard led the way for defensive actions (14), also making more clearances and tackles than any other player on the pitch (six and five respectively).
The former Manchester United man, who earns £6.5-a-week at Hillsborough per Capology, was back to his very best against Bristol City, and now he needs to find a vein of consistency.

International breaks don’t help Sheffield Wednesday where Di’Shon Bernard is concerned
Sheffield Wednesday have a few internationals in their first-team squad with Bernard being one of them.
Every international break, he jets off to South America to play in games for Jamaica. And often times, he returned fatigued.
It’s understandable. Also, Rohl won’t stop any of his players from playing on the international stage, so it’s unavoidable.
But it’s certainly frustrating for the Owls. Rohl is often forced to rest Bernard when he returns from international duty, as to avoid injury, which is what happened on one occasion last season.
It disrupts Bernard’s form at club level, and arguably prevents him from playing like he did against Bristol City throughout the campaign.
But if Bernard can find a balance and perform at a good level throughout, Wednesday will look a lot better for it.
