Danny Rohl must be bold with his selection which could see one Sheffield Wednesday star drop out.
Sheffield Wednesday managed to get back to winning ways after they saw off West Brom at Hillsborough Stadium in a 3-2 victory.
Whilst the Owls were unexpected to come away with all three points against West Brom, it was still nonetheless a necessary win for Danny Rohl’s side, who managed to put an end to a five-game rot that saw Sheffield Wednesday score just two goals.
It was much improved at the weekend as Sheffield Wednesday put three past the visitors, albeit with the help of a major deflection off of James Furlong for the opener, and Josh Windass and Anthony Musaba both bagged necessary goals in terms of turning around the Owls’ start to the campaign, whilst also putting an end to their individual goal drought.
However, there is one ‘important’ Sheffield Wednesday attacker who is yet to bag his first league goal of the season, and it could lead to Rohl making a bold move and dropping him.

Danny Rohl must drop Ike Ugbo after recent Sheffield Wednesday goal drought
The attacking side has been Sheffield Wednesday’s achilles heel up until this point, with Barry Bannan being the only goalscorer in the five-game winless streak, which clearly highlights issues with the frontline.
However, with Windass and Musaba responding in brilliant fashion, it turns all eyes on Owls striker Ike Ugbo, who is still yet to find the back of the net since his permanent arrival in the summer.
There was plenty of optimism that the Canadian international was going to deliver performances of a similar fashion to last season whilst on loan in S6, however he is still yet to get going, and competition from Jamal Lowe could see him drop to the bench in the next game against Bristol City.

Sheffield Wednesday fans must lower expectations for Ike Ugbo
There is no doubting that Ugbo made a significant contribution to the back end of the 2023/24 campaign, scoring seven crucial goals, however with him yet to find the back of the net in six games at the start of this season, it is clearly not clicking for the attacker.
Even though he was immense last season, in hindsight that short loan spell at Hillsborough looks to be somewhat of an anomaly in his career, with other spells seeing him for example bag four goals in 20 appearances at the start of the 2023/24 season, whilst in an earlier season getting just one goal in the 2017/18 Championship campaign with Barnsley.
Rohl clearly managed to get the very best out of the Canadian last season, and there is every chance that Ugbo could recapture that brilliant goalscoring form, but up until this point he certainly needs time on the bench and have the expectation of scoring lowered by utilising Lowe following yet another poor performance against West Brom.
