Sheffield Wednesday return to Championship action against West Bromwich Albion on September 28th.
It has been a difficult start to the 2024/25 season for Danny Rohl and his first-team squad.
After beating Plymouth Argyle 4-0 on the opening day, the Yorkshire outfit have since failed to win any of their following Championship fixtures.
Rohl took his men to Kenilworth Road on Saturday, September 21st, and were aiming to cause a major upset against the recently relegated outfit.
It was a frustrating afternoon for the Owls. Youngster Shea Charles impressed but in the end, Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 to Luton Town.
A controversial penalty decision cost Danny Rohl’s men, who had a 1-0 lead up until the 78th minute when Carlton Morris scored from 12 yards.
But Wednesday must now put that behind them and focus on bouncing back versus West Bromwich Albion in their next outing.

West Brom dealt injury blow ahead of Sheffield Wednesday
The Yorkshire outfit have slipped down to 21st in the Championship table after Saturday’s defeat, only above the relegation zone due to the fact they have scored more goals than 22nd-place Preston North End.
West Brom, on the other hand, have had a flying start to the campaign and are currently top of the division after winning five and drawing one of their opening six matches.
However, it is not all positive for the Baggies right now as manager Carlos Corberan has confirmed, as per the Express and Star, that Jayson Molumby is a doubt to face Wednesday on September 28th.
He said: “Fortunately it is not a big injury. He suffered in the calf a grade one B injury which will move him (out of the team) for seven to 10 days from in the last week, so let’s see how he progresses.”

Will Jayson Molumby absence help Sheffield Wednesday beat West Brom
Prior to picking up his injury, Molumby had started every league match for West Brom in the current campaign.
The 25-year-old helped the Baggies dominate in midfield and also scored the winning goal when they beat Swansea City at the back end of August.
Molumby was absent when West Brom faced Plymouth over the weekend but they were still able to come away with a 1-0 win.
However, with confidence hard to come by at Hillsborough right now, Rohl should take solace in the fact Sheffield Wednesday also beat Wayne Rooney’s men but by a much more comfortable scoreline.
Even with one of their key players likely to miss out though, West Brom are fairly clear favourites going into Saturday’s game.
Wednesday’s goal threat has dwindled since the opening weekend with just two goals netted in their last five.
West Brom, meanwhile, boast the best defensive record in the Championship with only two goals shipped this term.
