Sheffield Wednesday took yet another sell-out allocation to Hull City on Tuesday night, with the players rewarding them with a win.

Sheffield Wednesday quickly sold out their allocation of 2,286 tickets for the game away at Hull City on Tuesday night.

And those fans will be glad they made the cross-Yorkshire trip to the MKM Stadium, as Danny Rohl’s side put in a good performance and eventually won the game 2-0.

Goals came from strikers Josh Windass and Michael Smith who played a half each: Windass scored from the spot as Sheffield Wednesday set the British record for most games without a penalty.

Sheffield Wednesday’s win at Hull City leaves them in 12th place of the Championship table ahead of their game away at Derby County on Sunday, which is another sell-out for the Owls faithful.

Neil Mellor shares footage of brilliant Sheffield Wednesday fans at Hull City

Neil Mellor is a name that Sheffield Wednesday fans will remember fondly, with the Sky Sports pundit having had a memorable spell playing for the Owls.

The former Liverpool youngster spent time on loan at Hillsborough from Preston North End during the 2010/11 League One season.

Mellor, now 42 years old, scored 13 goals in 33 league games as Sheffield Wednesday finished 15th in League One that season.

He was at the Wednesday game on Tuesday night, and he’s now shared some footage of the Owls fans in the away end at the MKM Stadium…

How many Sheffield Wednesday fans are going to Derby County?

Sheffield Wednesday play Derby County on Sunday afternoon, in a 3pm kick off live on Sky Sports. And for the game at Pride Park, there’ll be another sold-out away end.

Earlier in November, it was revealed that the Owls faithful had quickly snapped up all 3,111 tickets for the game at Derby County this weekend.

Rohl will of course be hoping that his side can maintain their strong recent away form and give the mass travelling supporters another memorable outing on the road.

It’s another new club and a new stadium for Rohl to pit himself against. As things stand, the Rams sit in 14th place of the Championship table and host Swansea City on Wednesday night.
