One former Sheffield Wednesday star has made a move to Blackpool to join up with Steve Bruce.
Sheffield Wednesday’s short tenure under former boss Steve Bruce ended somewhat abruptly after just 18 games in charge before going on to manage Newcastle United.
The Owls managed an average of 1.61 points per game under Bruce, and were certainly a force to be reckoned with before making a move to the Premier League outfit in July 2019.
The 2018-19 season saw Sheffield Wednesday somewhat pulled out of the mire by Bruce, and he could have easily led the side to greater things with the side at his disposal in the 2019/20 campaign, with the likes of Atdhe Nuhiu, Fernando Forestieri and a 29-year-old Barry Bannan in the side.
One former Sheffield Wednesday star that joined in the 2018/19 season has now reunited with Bruce at Blackpool, six seasons since they were together in S6.

Blackpool already had a strong contingent of former Owls players that currently play under Bruce, with Jordan Rhodes and Ashley Fletcher currently plying their trade in League One.
They have now been joined by former Owls loanee Josh Onomah, who has been labelled as ‘fantastic’ by former Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe.
He managed 15 Championship appearances at the club whilst on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, before a costly knee injury severely depleted his game time in the side.
When Bruce took up the role of management at Sheffield Wednesday, his first game in charge, which saw Lucas Joao bag the winner against Ipswich Town from off the bench in a 1-0 win, Onomah just managed 25 minutes of action before missing the next 1,170 minutes of league action.
He was unable to bag a goal for the Owls during his short stint, however he did notch three league assists.

Steve Bruce on track for successful season with former Sheffield Wednesday ranks
Whilst Bruce’s spell in S6 ended abruptly and controversially, there is most certainly a sense of nostalgia amongst Owls fans observing the current Blackpool side, and after a brilliant four wins in five games since he took the top job with the Tangerines, it is certainly not out of the question that Bruce could be managing against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship next season.
Bruce was handed a frosty reception in the cup game that saw Sheffield Wednesday see off Blackpool, however they still stood up well to the Owls, which although was far from a brilliant sign of things to come for Danny Rohl and his side, showed that Bruce is still a very good manager at this level.
