Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl had one complaint following his side’s impressive, and rather unexpected, 2-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday.
After a 6-2 home defeat at the weekend, many backed Sheffield Wednesday to struggle against top six hopefuls Norwich City on Wednesday night.
But Danny Rohl’s side gave the fans a reaction, winning 2-0 courtesy of first-half goals from Josh Windass and Dominic Iorfa to leave the Owls in 13th place of the Championship table.
It sets Wednesday up for the Steel City derby this weekend. Though it’ll be a very tough game with United in form, currently sitting 2nd in the table after a 2-1 win at Bristol City on Tuesday.
Bramall Lane will be sold out. Likewise, Hillsborough will be old out in the revere fixture in March. But Rohl is currently not happy with the atmosphere at Wednesday’s iconic home ground.

Danny Rohl worried about Hillsborough atmosphere after Norwich City win
Despite what was a good win and a much-needed reaction after the Watford display, Rohl spotted a distinct lack of atmosphere in the stadium against Norwich City.
Speaking to talkSPORT after the game, Rohl told journalist Alan Biggs that the stadium was ‘a bit quiet’ and that he thought the biggest cheer of the night came when fans found out that Sheffield United had fallen behind at Bristol City.
Rohl has shared similar fears about what seems to be, at times, a very quiet atmosphere at Hillsborough. After the 3-2 win at home to West Brom in September, Rohl said Sheffield Wednesday fans were quiet.
Hillsborough has also been ranked as the worst stadium in the Championship by one pundit, for its ageing look and apparent lack of atmosphere at times.

Sheffield Wednesday attendance vs Norwich City, and average attendance this season
On Tuesday night, 22,731 fans watched the game between Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City at Hillsborough.
It’s their second-lowest home attendance of the season so far (in the league, with the Swansea City game seeing 22,452 fans attend).
Sheffield Wednesday currently boast the seventh-highest average attendance in the Championship this season with an average of 26,238 fans attending each home game.
And that’s despite Sheffield Wednesday having the second-most expensive season ticket in the whole of the Championship this season.
