Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl is unsure what the summer transfer window might have in store for one Owls player.
Sheffield Wednesday have undergone some drastic changes to their first-team squad this summer, with nine new players having arrived at Hillsborough so far.
To add to that, the Owls have had secured new deals for the likes of Barry Bannan, Liam Palmer, Josh Windass, and most recently Di’Shon Bernard, giving Danny Rohl a very strong-looking team ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season.
With five weeks left of the summer transfer window, it seems like we’ll see a few more signings at Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday remain keen on Ike Ugbo and are tipped to seal Premier League loans later on in the summer too.
But with so many players having arrived, some player departures may also be expected, especially in the attacking third with Rohl having bolstered that department heavily this summer.

Danny Rohl comments on Bailey Cadamarteri future at Sheffield Wednesday
One player who may be tipped to head out on loan this summer is young striker Bailey Cadamarteri.
The 19-year-old made his Championship debut last season, eventually scoring four goals in 23 league outings.
His role became more of a back-up one as the season went on. But Sheffield Wednesday handed Cadamarteri a long-term contract shortly after he made his league debut for the club.
Now speaking on what the summer ahead might hold for Cadamarteri, Rohl described him as a ‘quality’ player, then telling The Star: “It is a very difficult question at the moment.
“At the moment it is not clear which players (will come in) how many players we can get for the centre-forward position.
“It depends a little bit. In my mind I want to have different profiles again, not just similar profiles. It’s important to have a target player in the squad, a player with speed, a player who can receive the ball in the red zone.
“These are the different profiles of player you need to be flexible and this is what we want to do and try. In the following weeks we will see in which direction we can go.”
Should Sheffield Wednesday send Bailey Cadamarteri out on loan this summer
Cadamarteri certainly has a lot of potential, and he’s a natural goal-scorer too, as seen with his poacher-like goals for Sheffield Wednesday last season.
The club are clearly placing more focus on youth development with Rohl at the helm, and Rohl’s main hope for Cadamarteri will be to develop even more next season.
But if the likes of Ugbo return this summer then Cadamarteri’s development may be best-served out on loan, perhaps to a League One or even a League Two club.
Like Rohl suggests, what happens with Cadamarteri may depend on what other business the Owls can do this summer.
But Cadamarteri may even be hoping for a loan move himself, given how rare starts became for him in the second half of last season.
He remains a player with plenty of potential though, and Rohl will certainly have him at the fore of his planning for the future.
