Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison had plenty to say about former club Sheffield Wednesday during their game against Brentford on Tuesday night.
Sheffield Wednesday were live on Sky Sports for the second time in just a few days, for their Carabao Cup Fourth Round clash at Brentford.
Last Friday, Sheffield Wednesday won 2-1 at Portsmouth in front of the Sky Sports cameras and put in another spirited performance on Tuesday.
The Owls were eventually beaten on penalties after drawing 1-1 with Brentford in regular time, courtesy of a ranged strike from Djeidi Gassama in the second half.
Despite naming a makeshift XI, Danny Rohl’s side put in a very decent performance against what was a strong Brentford side on the night. Sean Fusire caught the eye for Sheffield Wednesday, along with Pierce Charles among others.
It was another outing where Rohl showcased his coaching class to the world, and he wasn’t short of praise in the Sky Sports studio ether.

Clinton Morrison hails Danny Rohl appointment at Sheffield Wednesday
Clinton Morrison and fellow Sky Sports pundit Curtis Davies both spoke very fondly of Rohl’s turnaround at Sheffield Wednesday last season, and their steady start to this season.
Presenter Mark Chapman then asked if the Sheffield Wednesday owner, Dejphon Chansiri, deserved some praise for getting what was a very crucial appointment right.
Morrison responded: “The chairman’s done ever so well to get him [Rohl]
“I think he’s a fantastic coach. In some aspects I think Sheffield Wednesday are lucky to have him, but the style of play suits them, and they’ve added in the summer.”
Chansiri was at Sheffield Wednesday’s game against Burnley earlier this month, which the Owls lost 2-0 at Hillsborough.

Dejphon Chansiri thinks very highly of Danny Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday
The change in mentality that we’ve seen from Chansiri since Rohl’s arrival is arguably as incredible as the turnround on the pitch last season.
Chansiri has made definite changes to the club; putting money into the transfer market, better preparation on the contracts front, as well as delivering improvements to certain facilities.
After the game against Burnley, Chansiri and Rohl were spotted on the touchline, laughing and talking with each other despite the defeat.
Like Morrison says, Sheffield Wednesday are perhaps lucky to have Rohl, who may one day go on to manage a team in the Premier League or Champions League.
But Rohl certainly seems like he has unfinished business in S6. Chansiri must keep on planning for the future, and possibly plan for the day that Rohl eventually leaves the club.
