Sheffield Wednesday are looking to land a winger before the summer transfer window comes to a close.

The Owls are looking to end a brilliant summer transfer window on a high and add to their attacking ranks.

The likes of Jamal Lowe and Ike Ugbo have already arrived in S6 this summer, however Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl is looking to further bolster his options.

Rohl has made it clear that he is willing to explore loans from the Premier League, as he did so with the recent signing of midfielder Shea Charles from Southampton.

There is a likelihood that a winger could be signed before the deadline, with a Premier League loan looking to be an option at this point.

Sheffield Wednesday ‘hoping to land’ Southampton winger Samuel Edozie

The Owls currently have wide options consisting of Djeidi Gassama, Anthony Musaba and new signing Olaf Kobacki, however Rohl is looking to bring in extra competition in the flanks.

As a result, Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly expressed their interest in a late move for Southampton winger Samuel Edozie on loan, per Mark McAdam on X.

The Owls face stiff competition for the winger that they are ‘hoping to land’, with Rangers, Sheffield United, Swansea City and two other Championship sides also interested in the Premier League winger.

Samuel Edozie will provide brilliant quality to Danny Rohl’s wide options

Sheffield Wednesday’s options out wide have looked somewhat thread-bare as of recent, however a move for Edozie would certainly solve that minor issue.

As well as adding to the numbers, the Southampton winger will provide extra flare to the side, as well as a decent finishing ability if he is able to regain his confidence.

It looks like it could be an uphill task for Sheffield Wednesday to sign the attacker at this moment with the excessive competition they face, however a move for Edozie would certainly add an extra dimension to Rohl’s side.
