Sheffield Wednesday are now taking a look at this newly-available free agent attacker.
Sheffield Wednesday look determined to take their summer signings tally into double figures before the transfer window slams shut on August 30th.
So far this summer, the Owls have recruited nine new players, with Danny Rohl boasting a new-look first-team squad ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season.
Since the signing of Nathaniel Chalobah midway through July, Sheffield Wednesday’s transfer business has slowed down somewhat.
Rohl has been keen to work with the players he’s got and ready them for the visit of Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle in the Championship this weekend.
But the Owls remain keen on a striker, with Sheffield Wednesday eyeing a return for Ike Ugbo but now facing fresh competition from rivals Sunderland.
And it appears as though Sheffield Wednesday are in a transfer battle with another Championship rival in the race to sign attacker Jeremy Livolant, who’s recently been let go by Bordeaux who have filed for bankruptcy.

Livolant, 26, recently left Bordeaux and is now a free agent, just a week before the start of the 2024/25 season across much of Europe.
A left-sided attacker, Frenchman Livolant has represented his country at both U16 and U19 level, beginning his career with Guingamp where he spent eight years.
For Guingamp, Livolant made 120 total appearances, scoring 16 and assisting 15, and with Bordeaux last season he scored six and assisted seven more in 42 total appearances.
Journalist Darren Witcoop says that Livolant now has interest from ‘a number of Championship clubs’, with Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City ‘believed to have made contact’.
Do Sheffield Wednesday need another winger this summer
Depth in the first-team is always welcome. But Rohl needs to be wary of having too much depth and too much competition for the starting spots.
Although Rohl will play a high speed attacking game next season, with players set to rotate, he already has a good selection of attacking players after the arrival of names like Jamal Lowe and Olaf Kobacki.
And the club will also want to see Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama press on with their development, and they’ll need game time to do so.
So adding another winger to the mix may not be such a good idea, even though Livolant does seem like an impressive player.
Sheffield Wednesday should focus on a striker signing and then a centre-back signing in the final weeks of the window.
