Danny Rohl has a plan in place for Sheffield Wednesday.
Although this season’s been a struggle so far, compared to this time last year, Sheffield Wednesday is a much better place to be.
Danny Rohl has instilled a new culture and with the help of Dejphon Chansiri and head of recruitment Kevin Beadell, he’s laid some new foundations.
Sheffield Wednesday finally look like a club with a plan, and although it’s not quite going to plan this season, there’s still plenty of hope for the future.
Rohl spoke to the press on Thursday afternoon ahead of another challenging Championship clash vs Luton Town this weekend.
Rohl revealed a number of things; Dominic Iorfa could potentially return this weekend, and Rohl has revealed that he’s already in contract talks with the players.
He, Beadell, and Chansiri are all set for talks in the coming weeks so to avoid a repeat of this summer’s contract chaos.

Danny Rohl discusses January transfer window at Sheffield Wednesday
Also during his Thursday presser, Rohl discussed his plans for the January transfer window, and beyond.
After revealing his planned talks with Chansiri, Rohl also said that he has a ‘clear idea’ of what he wants to do with the team in the January transfer window.
Rohl even made a claim about the 2025 summer transfer window.
He said: “Even the next window, it’s a little bit far away, but even now I have clear idea in my mind what we have to do in the next two windows.”
First things first for Danny Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday
Fans will surely be glad to see that Rohl has a long-term vision for the club.
But right now, all fans want to see is a win put on the board.
Sheffield Wednesday sit in 20th place of the Championship table and if they go a few more games without a win, they’ll likely be in the drop zone.
As soon as that happens, confidence might drop even further, and then Wednesday are in the same position they were in last season.
So there’s definitely some issues for Rohl to address before he starts thinking too much about January or next summer.
But it’s certainly a positive that he knows what he wants to do, and it’ll once again come down to Chansiri and whether he can facilitate the changes Rohl wants.
