A Championship club has seen a £1.3million ‘bid accepted’ for this Sheffield Wednesday striker target.
Sheffield Wednesday are still pushing to sign a striker with Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri seemingly ready to spend big on one this summer.
The Owls have so far signed released Manchester United striker Charlie McNeill this summer, also bringing in Olaf Kobacki and experienced Championship man Jamal Lowe.
On top of that, Josh Windass has signed a new contract, but Danny Rohl appears keen on one more striker.
Sheffield Wednesday want to re-sign Ike Ugbo on a permanent deal from Troyes but appear to be hitting some stumbling blocks in pursuit of the Canadian.
Elsewhere, Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Sory Kaba at Las Palmas, with the former Cardiff City loan man looking set to leave the Spanish club after just one season.
Recently, it was revealed that Kaba has found an English club, though the details of which were very vague.
But journalist Darren Witcoop has now provided some clarity on the situation.

Championship club has bid accepted for Sheffield Wednesday striker target Sory Kaba
Kaba is best known among Championship supporters for his time on loan at Cardiff City from Danish outfit FC Midtjylland during the second half of the 2022/23 season.
The 29-year-old scored eight goals in 17 second tier outings to fire the Bluebirds to Championship safety that season.
This summer, all of Cardiff City, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, and West Brom have been linked with the Guinean.
Journalist Witcoop has now revealed that an unnamed Championship club has had a £1.3million bid accepted for Kaba, who Las Palmas paid £2.5million for last summer, with Witcoop reiterating the widespread interest in Kaba this summer.
Have Sheffield Wednesday made a bid for Sory Kaba
At this stage, Kaba’s strongest suitor remains unknown, and somewhat unclear, though it may be safe to guess that this unnamed Championship side could be Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls are working hard on signing a striker and it’s been reported that Sheffield Wednesday have made a bid for Ugbo, having since been knocked back.
With news of a potential deal for Ugbo having gone somewhat quiet in the last few days, it may be the case that Sheffield Wednesday have quickly moved on, and quickly tabled a bid for Kaba, who was first linked earlier in the summer.
He’d bring with him some Championship experience, albeit not a lot, and a clear goal-scoring nous having reached double figures for league goals with the likes of Midtjylland and Belgian outfit Leuven in the past.
If he arrives at Hillsborough, it’ll be another exciting signing for sure.
