Earlier this summer, it was reported that Sheffield Wednesday are interested in Sory Kaba at Las Palmas.
The former Cardiff City loan man is tipped to leave the Spanish club after an uneventful 2023/24 campaign, with Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff, West Brom, and Sheffield United reportedly among the teams keen.
Now, an emerging report from Spanish outlet Canarias7 claims that Kaba has ‘found a destination in British football’, with an unnamed British team having tabled a bid that satisfies Las Palmas.
The same report adds that Las Palmas are set to take a hit on the €3million (£2.52million) they paid for Kaba last summer.

There’s certainly a chance that Sheffield Wednesday are this mystery team who look set to sign Kaba from Las Palmas this summer.
The Owls are in for a striker and seemingly ready to spend money on one.
On top of that, it looks like a deal for Ugbo is perhaps proving too pricey for Sheffield Wednesday at this moment in time, so it would make sense that they’ve since turned their attentions to what might be a cheaper alternative in Kaba.
He’d bring with him a degree of Championship experience having shone with Cardiff City during the second half of the 2022/23 campaign, scoring eight in 17.
Whether he’d suit Rohl style of play as much as Ugbo did remains to be seen. But it’d be another exciting, marquee signing nonetheless.
