Sheffield Wednesday are yet to conclude their summer transfer business after welcoming nine new arrivals.
The Owls haven’t made any further signings since snapping up Charlie McNeill on a free transfer over a week ago.
Sheffield Wednesday supporters haven’t been used to the calm of the past eight days recently, though there is still plenty to be excited about.
After tying down a majority of their key out-of-contract players to fresh terms, reports have now emerged claiming that Di’Shon Bernard is also set to put pen to paper on a new deal.
His commitment to the club could be the final piece of the puzzle before they press ahead with further signings, with Danny Rohl previously admitting he still wants to bolster the central defence and midfield.
Despite that, Wednesday still appear eager to add another attacker to their ranks.
It was reported this week that the Yorkshire outfit were one of three clubs to have launched bids for Brest winger Karamoko Dembele, who bagged 21 goal contributions whilst on loan at Blackpool last season.
The report claimed that Portsmouth and Derby County had also made offers to sign the ‘special’ 21-year-old.

While Rohl is yet to speak on their reported interest in Dembele, Pompey boss John Mousinho has been quick to play down rumours of their bid.
Speaking to The News, Mousinho said: “There’s nothing in that at the moment, that’s another one there’s no preparing or readying a bid!”
The 38-year-old has made it clear that Pompey haven’t made an offer for Dembele ‘at the moment’, which does suggest they could still hold interest in the youngster.
However, it still gives Wednesday a big boost in their own pursuit of Dembele, as it means they currently have less competition.

Assuming rumours of the Owls’ offer is true, if they are to act fast then they could look to wrap up a deal before Pompey and other clubs decide to make bids of their own.
Rohl’s side surely have an advantage in the race though, given that both Derby and Pompey have just been promoted and will likely be favourites to go straight back down again.
Dembele would definitely want regular minutes though after such a tough start to his career, but could face competition from the likes of Jamal Lowe, Olaf Kobacki, Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama for his place.
Things have gone quiet since it was reported they had bid for him, but if they decide to really push for him then it wouldn’t be surprising if they were the ones to win the race.
