Sheffield Wednesday take on Red Bull Salzburg in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.
Sheffield Wednesday arrived in Munich on Friday to begin part of their pre-season preparations.
Danny Rohl is taking his side to Austria and his native Germany for games against Red Bull Salzburg and Werder Bremen, with little under three weeks to go before the start of the 2024/25 Championship season.
So far this summer, Sheffield Wednesday have played two pre-season friendlies; beating Alfreton Town 2-0 before losing 3-0 at Brighton in a behind-closed-doors game.
Sheffield Wednesday team news for Red Bull Salzburg
There’s doubts over whether or not summer signing Ben Hamer has travelled with the club to Germany, after sustaining an injury earlier this month.
Pierce Charles is currently away with Northern Ireland U19s, leaving James Beadle as the only recognised first-team goalkeeper.
Whether or not Jack Hall has travelled remains to be seen, and Di’Shon Bernard is expected to join the squad later on after signing a new contract on Thursday.
Everyone else appears to be available for selection and Rohl will be eager to get a good look at his players.

Sheffield Wednesday predicted XI vs Red Bull Salzburg
Being a friendly game, it’s difficult to predict who Rohl will select in his Sheffield Wednesday XI vs Salzburg, especially with the XI for the Brighton game having not been released.
We can expect Beadle to start in goal, with Rohl likely to field the 5-2-2-1 formation that got Sheffield Wednesday over the dotted line in the Championship last season.
And with just three friendlies left, we may see something similar to what Rohl thinks will be his starting XI against Plymouth Argyle next month.
There’s plenty of depth in attack now and so that final third could change drastically before the Plymouth game, and Rohl may change that completely at half-time vs Salzburg.
Here’s how Sheffield Wednesday could line up vs Red Bull Salzburg on Saturday afternoon, with kick off at 3pm…
