Sheffield Wednesday will be live on Sky Sports as manager Danny Rohl tries out his new look first-team squad for the first time.
10 new signings have joined Rohl’s Owls revolution this summer with Sheffield Wednesday completing the signing of Ike Ugbo on Thursday.
Ugbo though seems unlikely to feature in the squad to face Plymouth having not yet trained with Sheffield Wednesday this summer.
But there’ll be many others looking to make their first impressions in the 2024/25 Championship season, with Owls fans confident of a strong season in the second tier.

Sheffield Wednesday team and injury news vs Plymouth Argyle
Sheffield Wednesday don’t take too many injury concerns into the new season.
Goalkeeper Ben Hamer is injured following his summer arrival on a free transfer from Watford, meaning youngster Pierce Charles is likely to be named on the bench in Hamer’s place.
There’s question marks over Di’Shon Bernard after the defender missed Liam Palmer’s testimonial match last time out.
Elsewhere, Rohl looks set to name several new signings in his starting line up on Sunday.

How will Sheffield Wednesday line up against Plymouth Argyle
Expect to see a 4-2-3-1 formation with several new faces in the side, as well as many of the players who helped get Sheffield Wednesday over the line last season.
Akin Famewo looks set to start after featuring heavily in pre-season, and he’ll be determined to take his chance with a Bernard likely to be rested.
Marvin Johnson often struggled on the left of a back-four last season and so Max Lowe could start against Plymouth, with fellow new boy Yan Valery on the right.
Barry Bannan and Svante Ingelsson look set to run the engine room with Rohl then having plenty of options for the attacking midfield three.
Expect Josh Windass to play as the 10 with Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama looking like the likeliest names to start on either flank.
Jamal Lowe impressed vs Leganes and seems set to start up top, with Ugbo unlikely to feature.
