Bailey Cadamarteri faces a tough transfer decision ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season.
Sheffield Wednesday’s striker situation has loomed over the club for the past weeks, with Danny Rohl making it clear that a forward is the last piece in the puzzle before the Owls have completed their business, although the German boss wants to waste no time in bringing in another striker to Hillsborough.
Ike Ugbo is of massive interest to the club this season, with Sory Kaba viewed as a back-up option if Championship rivals Sunderland sneak ahead in the pursuit of the Canadian striker.

Cadamarteri is set for a loan move to League One, with Wrexham, Huddersfield Town, Stockport County and Blackpool amongst the initial clubs interested in the youngster.
However, Hollywood-owned Wrexham have now emerged as front-runners to sign Cadamarteri on loan, leaving the 19-year-old with a crucial decision ahead of him.
Wrexham star Paul Mullin has been front-and-centre of the Welsh side’s rise to League One, and although Cadamarteri has the ability to become a top forward at this level, it will be difficult to get ahead in the team sheet of a player who is seen as much more than a goalscorer at the club.
The Welsh side are unique in their approach as a result of the eyes from across the Atlantic supporting their every move, and Mullin has almost gained a cult-like reputation and following, making it unlikely that Cadamarteri could get the game time he needs.

Wrexham loan move could hinder Bailey Cadamarteri’s development
Despite proving in the 2023/24 campaign when Rohl brought him in that he can provide an impact at Championship level, he is looking to be dropped down a league where he will undoubtedly more than thrive once given the necessary gametime.
There will be far from a guarantee of minutes at Wrexham due to Mullin being unmoved in the starting lineup, and this could be massively detrimental to the young strikers’ development.
Getting minutes will be vital this season if he is to drop down the divisions, and any other League One side will be more likely to provide assurance that Cadamarteri will be starting and consistently leading the line across the campaign.
This is something that Cadamarteri simply can not debate over in his next move for his career and must be frank with. If Wrexham can not guarantee that gametime, he must be proactive in seeing his future at other clubs.
