Sheffield Wednesday youngster Bailey Cadamarteri sealed a season-long loan move to League One outfit Lincoln City during the summer transfer window.
What to do with Bailey Cadamarteri was a key focal point for Sheffield Wednesday during the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old broke through under Danny Rohl last season and went on to score four goals in 23 Championship outings for the Owls, eventually playing less and less as the season went on.
There was widespread EFL interest in Cadamarteri during the summer. At one point though it looked like the Wednesday academy man might have been kept at Hillsborough to play in the first-team this season.
But he sealed a loan move to Lincoln City which looked like a positive move for all involved. So far though, it’s been a slow start for Cadamarteri.

Lincoln City boss comments on Bailey Cadamarteri start
Cadamarteri has now featured three times in League One for Lincoln City, without scoring. The Imps are winless in their last three games in all competitions but remain in 7th place of the table as they eye up a top six finish.
He made his first league start for the club over the weekend, starting up front in a home game vs Wigan Athletic which eventually ended 0-0.
Cadamarteri started as one of two strikers on the pitch for the Imps, but saw very little of the ball having made six accurate passes in the game, with a 66% success rate, also failing to record a single shot throughout the 90.
Imps boss Michael Skubala gave his verdict on Cadamarteri after the game, saying: “He’s been working really hard in training, and I think in moments he looked lively, and in moments he looked quick.
“I think he will only get better, and he is just getting used to the way we play, and to League One.”

Bailey Cadamarteri ‘will only get better’ at Lincoln City
Even if Cadamarteri ends the season with only a handful of goals, playing regular EFL football will only benefit his development in the long run.
And it’s easy to forget how young and inexperienced he is as a player, so patience must be shown by both Lincoln City and Sheffield Wednesday.
Like Skubala says though, Cadamarteri will surely improve as the season goes on. When he’s more acclimatised to the EFL and up to match speed, having arrived late on and not knowing the playing style and so on, he could burst into life for the Imps.
He showed his goal-scoring nous last season and it may be only a matter of time before Lincoln reap the rewards of signing what remains a very exciting Sheffield Wednesday prospect in Cadamarteri.
