Sheffield Wednesday loaned young striker Bailey Cadamarteri to Lincoln City during the summer transfer window.
Throughout the summer, Bailey Cadamarteri was a talking point.
It seemed clear that the plan was to send him out on loan to gain some first-team experience, but the Owls certainly took their time in doing so.
Cadamarteri had plenty of EFL interest, with Wrexham among the front-runners to sign him at one point.
League One Lincoln City eventually signed Cadamarteri on a season-long loan deal.
It comes after the 19-year-old’s breakthrough last season. The Owls academy striker made 23 Championship appearances and scored four goals, but started less and less as the season went on.
January arrivals of the likes of Ike Ugbo helped to push Cadamarteri down the pecking order under Danny Rohl, as well as the increasing severity of games as the Owls narrowly avoided relegation.
Now though, Cadamarteri has a great chance to play some regular football, and at a good footballing side in Lincoln City.

How has Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri fared so far at Lincoln City
Cadamarteri has so far made two substitute appearances for Lincoln City.
He came off the bench for the Imps during their 1-0 league win away at Stevenage over the weekend, playing 22 minutes and putting himself about up front to help see out the win.
Boss Michael Skubala then gave Cadamarteri 45 minutes in the EFL Trophy clash vs Chesterfield on Tuesday night.
Cadamarteri came off the bench at half-time but couldn’t help prevent 1-0 defeat on the night.
The striker didn’t see too much of the ball, recording just 18 touches and completing just the one pass (lowest of any Lincoln City player).
He did put himself about though, completing three out of 10 duels attempted, and completing one shot on target too.

Early days for Sheffield Wednesday talent Bailey Cadamarteri
Last season, we saw a fearless striker make his name in the Championship and in the Wednesday first-team, setting a very high bar in the process.
It’s easy to forget though just how young and inexperienced Cadamarteri remains, and it’s also easy to forget that he arrives at Lincoln with barely any match practise this season.
It’ll take him a while to get up to speed and to get to grips with the style of player at Sincil Bank as well.
But Owls fans will no doubt back Cadamarteri to eventually come good for the Imps, and showcase that natural goal-scoring ability that we saw last season.
