Sheffield Wednesday must take advantage of favourable upcoming five games.
The Owls have gone into the second international break of the campaign in much higher spirits in comparison to the previous, with a win on the weekend away at Coventry City taking Sheffield Wednesday up to 15th in the Championship table.
Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping that the momentum from the big win on the road can continue into the next games in a fortnight, where Danny Rohl will be hoping to see his side follow suit and get their campaign fully back on track.
Rohl has managed to craft his side across recent weeks, which has seen Ike Ugbo dropped as a result of poor form, whilst Pol Valentin has also returned as a surprise option at wing-back.
With the upturn in form as of recent, Rohl will be eyeing up the next five games, with three of which looking winnable.
Sheffield Wednesday’s next five fixtures
Following the second international break of the season, Sheffield Wednesday will host Burnley at Hillsborough Stadium on the 19th October, which will be followed by yet another home clash as the Owls welcome Swansea City just three days later.
Their only away game of the next five league fixtures will be a long trip to Portsmouth on the 25th of October and a home game against Watford will follow a week later, with a cup clash against Brentford in-between.
The fifth fixture for Sheffield Wednesday will be yet again another game at Hillsborough Stadium, who will welcome high-flying Norwich City.

Which games are winnable for Sheffield Wednesday
The Owls will be hoping for at least seven points out of a possible 15, and there is every chance they could bag three wins, with the games against Swansea City, Portsmouth and Watford looking like solid opportunities for Rohl’s side to continue to rise up the league.
Sheffield Wednesday must take advantage of four home games in the league, and whilst they are somewhat difficult games, especially against Burnley and Norwich City, the other games most certainly look like opportunities for the Owls to pick up more points.
There is every chance that this next five game run could define Rohl’s side’s season in the build up to the well-awaited Steel City derby, and Sheffield Wednesday will be most certainly wanting to go into the tie in positive fashion.
It has clearly been a somewhat lacklustre start to proceedings for Sheffield Wednesday this campaign, and the following five will certainly dictate and influence what the Owls’ ambitions should look like.
