Sheffield Wednesday kickstart their October fixtures with a trip to Bristol City on Wednesday night.
It’s a return to away games for Danny Rohl’s side who picked up an impressive 3-2 win against West Brom last time out, ending a run of five league games without a win in the process.
Anthony Musaba scored the winning goal and sent the Hillsborough faithful into the air, with Sheffield Wednesday now sitting much prettier in 18th place of the Championship table.
Before last weekend, Wednesday were in 21st and coming off the back of two good performances against QPR and Luton Town, but both with frustrating results.
Rohl and his first-team squad though have reminded themselves and everyone else of their quality with what was a big win vs the Baggies.
Bristol City currently sit in 14th place of the table and are unbeaten at Ashton Gate this season, with two wins and a draw in the league this season.

Bristol City mark the start of a very tough October for Sheffield Wednesday, who play six games in all competitions.
After Bristol City, Wednesday then head to Coventry City this weekend, before a two-week break for the internationals.
Then comes a home game against Burnley, followed by a midweek home game against Swansea City, then a long-haul trip to Portsmouth just a few days later on the Friday night.
The Owls finish their month with a Carabao Cup clash away at Brentford on the 29th.
In total, Sheffield Wednesday will travel approximately 1,328 miles during October, including for the Bristol City clash, spending 27-and-a-half hours travelling
Sheffield Wednesday have one must-win fixture in October
With so many miles being racked up, and games being played in close quarters with that Friday night Portsmouth trip set to be a slog, Wednesday players will no doubt face fatigue.
Rohl will have to use the international break as best he can to give his players rest and recovery time, whilst also working on their flaws on the training ground.
And that Pompey fixture looks like the most winnable of them all. Given the inevitable fatigue of Wednesday’s October too, with tough games against Bristol City, Coventry, and Burnley, that Portsmouth game also feels like a must-win.
Pompey are down in 23rd right now and haven’t won a single Championship fixture all season, with four draws and three losses to their name.
If Sheffield Wednesday can come out of October with a couple of wins then it might feel like a decent month for the Owls.
