Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl will be in charge of his first game since taking over as first team manager last week, but there has been speculation as to whether he will have the likes of Josh Windass at his disposal.
Röhl has taken over after the sacking of Xisco Munoz, with his first game in charge being a trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford.
The German has now been handed a massive injury boost with a star attacker confirming he’s fully fit, after a month on the sidelines. However, he is disappointed with the fans thought as to why he was on the sidelines.

Owls striker Windass has confirmed that he is fully fit to face the Hornets this week, but admits he was sad to see that some of the fans thought him and captain Barry Bannan were absent recently because of the manager – which he confirmed was not the case, calling it ‘utter nonsense’.
It had been reported earlier this week that both were in contention for Saturday’s game.
“I’m right and ready,” Windass told The Sheffield Star.
“One thing I wanted to mention – that I saw online – was people saying that me and Baz weren’t playing because of the manager… I don’t really comment on social media, but I was disappointed that people thought that us two as senior pros who give everything for the club would ever just not play a game because the manager is under pressure. It was utter nonsense – it annoyed me for a couple of weeks… The fans are incredible, but yeah, seeing that was disappointing.”
Windass being back is a huge boost
Windass has been out for a month after suffering a dead leg against Middlesbrough, which he then played through against Swansea, which made things worse.
The 29-year-old will be a huge boost for the Owls squad, who will be hoping to claim their first three points of the season on Saturday afternoon, and get off to a winning start under new management.
It is also good to hear that Windass remains fully committed to the club, despite what might have been said about him in the last few weeks.
He has featured seven times so far in the Championship this season, failing to score, whilst getting one assist.
